Why hasn’t this idiot been arrested and removed from our streets already? This might discourage the growing sub-culture that emulates his behavior. Can’t his videos be used as evidence in a court of law? Perhaps Bob Mionske would like to comment.

Although Lucas’ self-centered idiocy need hardly be explained to this audience, there’s another aspect that makes it even worse.
Suppose he (or one of his weak-minded acolytes) gets killed doing one of these stunts in traffic. If he’d been base-jumping or doing Lob knows what, then he’d be the only person affected, and we could all invoke Darwin and move on.
But if he gets killed by a car, then the poor driver has to live the rest of their life with the knowledge that he or she killed someone. Even though in this case they’d almost certainly be blameless, this is a horrible thing to live with.
This guy is obviously a psychopath, with no understanding or empathy for others, completely devoted to his own crazy thrill ride.

Dear Lucas Brunnelle, As a motorist, I want so say thank you for being a completely self-absorbed twat in traffic, there aren’t nearly enough of those. As a cyclist, I also want to say thank you for validating society’s anti-cyclist attitude and potentially increasing the amount of harassment that I receive from motorists as I go about my business in a socially respectful and law-abiding manner. As a pedestrian, I’ll just say that if I see you coming at me like that, I will knock you off of your god-damned bicycle. As if I didn’t get enough disrespect from motorists and snow plows… Sincerely, Fuck you.

Oh man! Mr. Brunelle you are such a big man breaking the law, sticking it to the man and putting down bike advocacy. Brunelle is just another clown out there; he is just another guy trying real hard not to grow up by acting like an immature teenager. Sure he can do whatever he wants, but unfortunately his behavior not only puts him at risk but innocent people as well and there he crosses the line.

I’d prefer almost anything over watching a bunch of arrogant and self-obsessed assholes do the cycling equivalent of wanking all over me, which is what Brunelle and his cohorts are effectively trying to do.
